“It is time for You to act!”

Psalm 119:126

There are several times in the Bible when God displayed a dramatic performance that was unmistakably Him. We call them miracles, some bigger than others. Most of the time, God used people who acted according to His word and history was altered. We are in one of those times, when we desperately need divine intervention. But what if the question we should be asking is,

“What would you have me do, Lord?”

Certainly we have reached a point in history that has no human solution. We have crossed so many acceptable lines of human behavior, that no GPS can guide our way back home. But what if the Bible has given us one that has not been explored for centuries?

I have written extensively about the Jewish/Gentile connection among believers. It is my firm belief that a proper spiritual bond between these two historically at odds people is God’s solution to the ceaseless dilemma of global hostility. Illustrations are throughout scripture, but rarely are they taught. But whenever the Gentile came alongside the Jews in history it always catalyzed spiritual life. The result was peace and prosperity on both sides.

The clearest illustration is when Ruth stood by her mother-in-law, Naomi at the border of Israel and refused to leave her side.

“For where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.

Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried.”

Ruth 1:16, 17

Naomi was a picture of Israel among the nations. She felt worn out from the loss of her husband, sons and even her identity. Her circumstances were bitter, and she could not see beyond them.

But Ruth, the Moabite did. She saw in Naomi what Naomi could not see in herself. After many years of famine, hardship and tears, Ruth knew that God, whom her mother-in-law thought had forsaken her, was still there. Out of that relationship, Ruth encountered God like few others. And things began to change.

You know the story. Ruth married a Jewish man from the tribe of Judah, and they gave birth to a child who would one day be the grandfather of Jesse, the father of King David. From David’s descendants would come Jesus the Messiah born in the same city, Bethlehem.

If you need a takeaway.

Biblically forged Jewish and Gentile connections give birth to spiritual life.

In Ephesians this high-level spiritual connection is called the one new man. This union displays the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places. It strikes havoc to the demonic world.

This was according to His eternal purpose, which means it should have always been intact.

Clearly it hasn’t.

Our present condition is crying out for the return of the one new man. It was this force that gave life to the early church and promoted the Body of Messiah in modern Israel.

Back to miracles.

When God took things into His own hands like the parting of the Red Sea or the fire on Elijah’s drenched altar, it followed individual participation. The Israelites applied the blood on their doorposts and Elijah prepared the altar.

Yes, now is time for the Lord to act, but it will follow participation of believing Gentiles. Only God knows how many it will take before He does. We do know that the fullness of the Gentiles is at hand, which is not just a quantity, but a quality.

Strangely, this requires courage on the part of Believers because it is out of the normal comfort zone of most Christians.

However, if you have been receiving the updates from Comfort My People, you most likely understand the vital importance of the Jewish/Gentile connection in God’s word.

I have seen the effect of the one new man in Israel and other parts of the world. It is beautiful, but even more it is fruitful and effective.

Israel and the Jewish people worldwide need a display of God’s power. The demonic world has clearly revealed its own horror show, as demons have been unleashed in not only Israel, but worldwide.

Surely that is unacceptable to you.

Too many Churches are celebrating fulfilled prophecy without considering the nature of enemy invasion. The target of Satan is the Jew. If salvation returns to them, he is done. We are living in what I am calling Satan’s last stand, because I believe Christians will come alongside their Jewish brothers and sisters in great number. Here is how it will begin.

It is described in a verse from Ezekiel 37, the story of the dry bones. I have heard several sermons from the OT lately, which is encouraging but few Bible teachers take this passage to its rightful end. They excitedly teach certain portions as examples of prophecy being fulfilled in our time, because Israel (the fig tree) has returned to the Land thus Jesus is returning soon, but stop there.

They overlook the role the Gentile church will play.

“Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”  vs.9

He says it twice for emphasis, to get our attention. I realize it sounds strange without knowing that breath and wind are the same word in Hebrew, which is “ruach”. Ruach Ha Kodesh is the Holy Spirit of God. He is telling Ezekiel, and those who will follow later on, to “speak to My Spirit to summon spirits from four directions”.

Sounds mystical, and maybe that’s why its avoided, but God is referring to Believers from the four corners of the earth. They have been been born again and given a new spirit, just as Ezekiel was told in the last chapter.

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to keep my judgments.

This was prophetic in Ezekiel’s day, but if you are a follower of Jesus, it is your story and your new operating equipment. Being a Christian must mean that you pursue His leading. That also infers that you have God’s heart to do so.

The four winds represent the points of the compass where Spirit filled believers live, which is overwhelmingly Gentile.

God alone brought life to the dead bones, bones that were buried for centuries, but that was humanly speaking. He brought the Jews back to Israel, many who came out of the Holocaust and literally looked like skeletons only a few years before the nation was reborn.

God is still bringing Jews back to Israel, but now is the time for the fulness of the Gentiles. It is time for the church to awaken and breathe spiritual life into them through prayer, intercession, and support of fellow believers working in the fields nearby.

As that number begins to grow, it is certain that God will accompany the process with signs and wonders, just as He performed in Moses day.

The outcome–the bones will come alive, and the church alongside!

Then Believing Jews and Gentiles will begin to topple the kingdom of darkness. The people who have been dwelling in spiritual darkness will see a great light shining upon them from unexpected places—the Gentile world.

We have entered a stage in the human saga where we need divine assistance like few other times of recorded history. I pray that God will act soon for the sake of our children, but I fear that the church’s response–or lack thereof–will either promote or delay HIs action.

Comfort My People is focused on bringing the good news to a nation that remains in a state of shock from the trauma that unfolded two months ago. Yeshua is the only answer to their deepest needs. Help us to be the Balm of Gilead that has been missing for too long. He is the Comforter, but He works through us as we walk together.

Perhaps it’s time to lace our boots, lock hands, and hike into the future-B’yachad—as One new mankind!

Shalom,

Paul
