Yeshiva on the wall JerusalemGod is gathering believers from around the world to support His work in Israel.

Are you one of them?

In Isaiah 40:1, God has a specific audience in mind, and this is what He says:

“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem…”

He is not addressing the Jewish people, because they are the ‘people’ who are in need of comfort. So, to whom is He speaking? If not the Jewish people, then whom?

In God’s story, there are two people groups: the Jews and the Gentiles. In this passage, He is speaking to the Gentiles. Those who listen and respond are called ‘believers’. Together with the Jewish believers, they make up the church.

Comfort my people is a prophetic command because He knows there will be a time when they will need the comfort that only Gentile believers can offer.

How You Can Help

The ministry of Comfort My People is an outreach to the Jews in Israel and beyond. We identify and come alongside ministries in Israel who are reaching the Jewish people in innovative and effective ways with the Gospel.

Ministries we support in Israel:

We also seek churches and individuals who see Israel as a critical component in God’s eternal, prophetic plan, and want to be a part of doing something to help.

We invite you to join with us in prayer for those sharing the Gospel message among the Jewish people. And, if you are interested in providing financial support, please visit our Donation page for more information.
